BITE SIZE GOALS + 10 DAYS OF JUICES

In an effort to start caring for myself again, I have decided to take control of my health again - this time in "bite-sized" ways. Last year was all about doing pretty extreme things like my 60 day juice fast, and announcing that I was going to run my first marathon in May 2014 (oh boy...)

While the 60 day juice fast was totally awesome and successful, setting a marathon goal totally wasn't. I tend to be an all-or-nothing person, and many times the things I attempt to do end up hurting me. 

My mentor once told me that I need to work on creating habits that are sustainable, I want to apply this to my health and fitness this year. 

I want to kick start this with a good ol' juice fast - but only a tiny one - 10 days. After that I plan to start training for my first long distance run, which won't be a marathon, but a 10K run in April. I'm thinking that depending on how that goes, I'd like to train for a half marathon in October. My marathon goal is still very much alive, but I am realizing that I'm going to have to take my time with that.

So, today is day 2 of this mini juice fast and I thought I'd show you what I made! Here are my drinks for today...

















So there you have it folks, I'm just here, taking a small step in what I hope is the right direction! I'll keep you posted on how the juicing goes :)
