This is it, the very last day of my juice fast. It almost feels surreal, and I'm having a hard time putting into words exactly how I feel right now - 60 days, 12 of which were pure water fasting ... woah

This has been quite a journey, full of ups and downs - many times it felt like a silly idea but the truth is, that I don't regret it one bit! I feel as though I am coming out a different person, one who is ready to start a new chapter in her life - one that involves loving her body instead of being at constant odds with it. One who knows just how much more she can push herself, if she sets her mind to - and one who now better understands that by letting her own light shine, she empowers others to do the same.

I am super grateful for the strength that God has given me to not only get though these past 60 days, but to also the ability to influence those around to me. Quite a few people have asked for recipes and tips on how to do a juice fast, which is why I plan on putting together a juicing e-book, which I hope to have ready by the end of May, so keep and eye out for that!

Closer to home, Mom has started to taking juices to work and is loving them - she says that they are giving them energy and she is sleeping better at night!

That being said, today I made some Jamaican Sorrel drink - if you've never tried it, you're definitely missing out! I grew up drinking this stuff by the pitcher in Mexico  - not only is it healthy because it is natural, but it is also super delicious! You can find the Sorrel flowers at any Asian or West Indian market, they cost approximately $2.00 and the package will rend at least 4 liters of concentrate.

How to make it:
  1. boil a handful of sorrel flowers in 2 liters of water - let it boil in medium heat for a while so that the concentrate gets nice and robust.
  2. let the concentrate cool, you can put it in the fridge
  3. add 3 cups of water for 2 cups of concentrate
  4. sweeten to taste and enjoy!

Well, that is all for tonight folks, I had an awesome bath and am feeling all cozy and ready to go to bed...Tomorrow... I CHEW!!!! Tomorrow I will also share full results, pictures and a better summary of the whole thing, you guys get the full enchilada so stay tuned!
